Salesforce Unveils Active Audiences To Automate Social Ad Management

Salesforce logo newSalesforce launched Active Audiences, a product designed to help marketers enhance their ad targeting capabilities across Facebook, Twitter and other mobile app connected through the Facebook Audience Network.

Part of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, the tool is positioned to help marketers automate the management of targeted ads through Facebook Custom Audiences and Twitter Tailored Audiences applications. Active Audiences is designed to help marketers manage, segment and synchronize targeted advertising with their CRM data in real time.

B2B Marketers Look To Expand Predictive Capabilities Throughout The Customer Lifecycle

Companies such as Salesforce have launched new predictive marketing capabilities within their offerings, aiming to enhance the customer experience throughout the entire customer journey by embedding predictive capabilities within the marketing cloud.

Industry experts noted that the expansion of predictive beyond lead scoring and early-stage demand generation is a growing trend.

"Leaders, especially in marketing, need to be able to extract insights and make predictions based on existing and external data," said Meagan Eisenberg, CMO of MongoDB and former VP of Customer Acquisition and Marketing at DocuSign, in Demand Gen Report's 2015 Marketing Automation Outlook Guide. "Marketers also need to create efficiencies in the follow up of leads using predictive analytics and modeling to create a better scoring methodology to focus on opportunities most likely to turn into customers."

Oracle Offers New B2B Data Set Through Data Cloud

Oracle logoAs part of its Oracle Data Cloud, Oracle has released a B2B data set designed to increase the amount of information available to B2B marketers to help identify, qualify and target new audiences with relevant cross-channel messaging.

The offering, Oracle Data as a Service (DaaS) for Marketing, was formed in collaboration with several B2B data providers, including Dun & Bradstreet and Madison Logic. The data positions B2B companies to refine their anonymous audience targeting through digital media, as well as enhance their databases with accurate information to enhance messaging and personalization.

Investors Take Majority Stake In TreeHouse Interactive, Plan Expansion

Treehouse Interactive LogoInvestment firm Kennet Partners and co-investor Joe Wang have acquired majority ownership of TreeHouse Interactive, a provider of partner relationship management and marketing automation solutions. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Wang, who previously served as President and CEO of LANDesk Software, will take over as Chairman and CEO of TreeHouse Interactive. Craig Flynn and Erich Flynn, the company’s sole shareholders, will remain with the firm and collaborate with Wang in development and sales leadership positions. Craig Flynn will continue to drive product engineering and innovation in his role as EVP of Engineering. Erich Flynn will lead the company’s sales efforts as Chief Revenue Officer.

Act-On Launches Business Productivity App

Act-On-TransparentAct-On Software unveiled its Act-On Anywhere application, a tool designed to provide Act-On engagement data, assets and functionality directly within the user's web browser. The app is positioned to help B2B marketers increase productivity and make better business decisions.

Act-On Anywhere includes content authoring capabilities intended to give users access to the Act-On Media Library when creating calls-to-action on blogs or web pages created through web-based content management systems. In addition, the app is designed to help marketers leverage Act-On's SEO tools within a web browser, making it easier to enhance web content or web sites to maximize overall reach.
